The studio
Two engineers. No layers.
Deepstill is a two-person AI build studio, remote-first, from Germany. Years of building AI agents and AI-assisted products, and a strong preference for shipping over presenting.
The name
Deep + Still.
“Still” means quiet, in German and in English. A still is also the thing that distills. Both are the brief: Deepstill distills busywork into software that runs quietly in the background.

Capacity
Two people is a limit as much as a promise.
Most studios describe their size as a benefit and leave out the arithmetic. Here it is: this is every slot that exists, and when they are full the honest answer is a date rather than a start.
Running at any one time
Slot oneA buildAn assistant or a tool, in its two to four weeks of active work.
Slot twoA second buildOnly when the first is past its correction loop and mostly running.
Slot threeAn auditA fortnight of counting somewhere else. Light enough to sit alongside a build.
Slot fourSessions or supportEnablement for a team, or watching a system we already run.
What that rules out
- No parallel teams. You cannot buy your way to the front by scoping bigger.
- No juniors learning on your project, because there are no juniors.
- No subcontracting. If we cannot do it ourselves we say so and name someone who can.
When the slots are full we tell you the date we could start, and you are free to take the work elsewhere. We would rather lose a project than run four badly.
How we work
Five working principles.

Software, not slides.
Every engagement ends in something that runs. No strategy decks, no roadmap PDFs: a deployed system, documented and handed over.

You talk to the two people who build.
No handovers between sales and delivery, no account layer. The people on the scope call are the people writing the code.

Numbers before adjectives.
We measure a baseline before we build, so success is a number, not a feeling. If the numbers say a process isn't worth automating, we tell you in the scope call.

Quiet by design.
Good automation disappears into the workday. We build systems that do the work without demanding attention, and interfaces that stay out of the way.

EU by default.
EU-only hosting, GDPR by design, EU AI Act Art. 50 transparency built in. Compliance is part of the product, not a footnote.
The anti-pitch
Four things we are not.
We are not an agency.There is no delivery team behind the two of us, nobody to hand you off to after the sale, and no account manager to translate. That is the appeal and it is also the constraint.
We do not sell licences.Nothing here is a product you rent from us. What we build runs in your own accounts, and if you stop working with us tomorrow it keeps running without a key from us.
We do not staff projects.We are not available by the day to sit inside your sprints or fill a gap on your org chart. We take a scope, build it, measure it and hand it over.
We are not right for everything.Work needing a team of eight, a certification we do not hold, or a decision made by a machine with nobody looking, is work we will point elsewhere on the call rather than take.
